It is decided

Everything I give for Christmas this year I want to be hand made (at least for the females in my life). Either by myself or someone else. 3 awesome resources – my knitting needles & my hands, my sewing machine, & Etsy! I want to do all my Christmas shopping right NOW!

What if…

What if everywhere we went we had to do squats rather than simply walk?

What if we were allotted a limited number of questions to ask a day? (Would people become more proactive?)

What if no one could lie? (Would people still get their feelings hurt as easily?)

What if people were just blunt, rather than PC?

What if people read books more?

What if people didn’t worship/glorify Hollywood?

What if people felt a social responsibility?

All I got for now.

There seems to be a direct correlation between having a lot to do at work and me having nothing to say.

A girl I was friends with in high school (and her husband) are having a baby. I am following her on facebook and her blog. We don’t talk anymore, but I love keep up with them and following their story. I want to anonymously send them a hand knitted gift for their baby. Too creepy?

My back has been hurting for about a week now. I’m not sure if it’s a pinched nerve or something more serious. It’s getting worse and last night I couldn’t sleep. This morning I called the internist I was given the name of. The girl who answered the phone put me on hold at will. They couldn’t get me in this week at all. They didn’t have a nurse I could speak to. And when I asked if they could recommend anyone in the area who might be able to get me in this week, she said they just had the 2 doctors in the office (which she also told me when I asked about a nurse).

Amazing.

The Knot Cookies

So I was sitting here at my desk, trying to get some of my work done when one of the girls at reception calls me and says I have a package? Me? I wasn’t expecting anything. I went up and got this box that said Eleni’s on the outside. I then determined it was from the site, The Knot. I got back to my desk, opened it up and found the most adorable cookies! They are themed to be representative of the property and are so adorable! I just had to share.

I still think Love Is…

I was looking back and found this post I wrote about a year and a half ago. This was about 2 months after tbf and I started dating. The post makes me smile and I still feel the same way.

Love is so many things.

Change in Direction

I find it interesting that when I moved here I intended to write about work and advertising and my life in work and advertising. Since I’ve moved here I’ve essentially made an effort to write nothing about work on this blog for fear of the wrong person running across something, taking it wrong, and putting my job in jeopardy. I now write about things I see and things I find interesting and funny. I suppose there’s not a lot of content here. Funny how things in life never turn out the way you expect them to – even blogs.

I feel like I should write

But I feel like I have nothing to say lately.  Nothing interesting has happened.  I still in New York, which still keeps me angry most of the time.  I’m working far too much.  I’m ready for a new account.  I’m going to Vegas with tbf and his parents on Monday…which I’m still not excited about, but I swear I’m trying.  What else…I’m a knitting fiend lately.  And I really think that’s about it.
