Last night I was invited by a friend to see Last Chance Harvey at a pre-release screening. I’ve never been a big Dustin Hoffman fan, but the movie was cute. I really loved Emma Thompson’s character and felt like she played the woman very well. I also really appreciated that she wasn’t a size 2. She seemed very real and normal and that’s so refreshing to see.
I didn’t really know what the movie was about going into it. Turns out the target is women 45+. It was definitely a feel good movie that I called cute as I was walking out of the theater. It’s simple and straight forward.
2 random things I loved – Emma Thompson’s dress for the reception and the very last frame of the move.
