Last weekend we went to Austin to take care of a few wedding things and while I was there, I had my hair and makeup trial done. I have to say, I was rather disappointed. The makeup options were really limited and rather boring. I took her a picture of the hair I wanted and she just did not get it right. It was like I had the Walmart version of an Alice & Olivia dress.

So, for anyone who missed it, I am engaged now. It’s still so weird to say. We have decided to get married on 12/31/11. I’m currently in the process of finalizing the church, the reception location, the photographer and still have so much to do – dress, bridesmaids stuff, flowers, DJ, decoration details, etc, etc. All the fun stuff is left really. Well, I mean, I guess it’s all fun. Anyway, I’ve been playing with ideas in my head of what I want this to be like and ultimately, I want it to be an awesome NYE party. I’m not huge on drawing attention to myself unless it’s for work and I’m showing off how awesome I am at my job. That’s really the only kind of praise/attention I am comfortable with. Weird, right? So, I’ve put together an inspiration board showing a glimpse into what I think I want my wedding to be like. It makes me happy.
